About

AIA Contract Documents is the industry standard for architecture and construction contracts, trusted for over 135 years. Our Catina platform is a secure, cloud-based hub for creating and managing contract documents. We are hiring a Product Manager to join our fully remote product team. You will define and drive the vision and strategy for our web-based SaaS platform, applying continuous discovery methods and product management best practices. This is a unique opportunity to simplify complex legal workflows and make a meaningful impact on how architects, engineers, and construction professionals work every day.

Responsibilities

  • Lead continuous discovery: Regularly engage with users through interviews, surveys, analytics, and usability testing to deeply understand their needs and validate assumptions. Continuously incorporate feedback into the product roadmap.
  • Define product vision and strategy: Shape the product strategy aligned with company goals and market opportunities. Establish the long-term vision for your area and translate it into clear goals, OKRs, and roadmaps.
  • Own an end-to-end product area: Take full ownership of a major feature set or product area once onboarded. Drive the idea from concept through development, launch, and iteration – coordinating all stakeholders and milestones.
  • Manage roadmap and backlog: Build and maintain a prioritized backlog and product roadmap based on user impact, business value, and technical feasibility. Continuously adjust priorities as new data or user insights emerge.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally: Partner closely with designers, developers, legal/industry experts, marketing, and sales to define requirements and build solutions. Keep all teams aligned and informed about priorities and product changes.
  • Measure and iterate: Use metrics and key performance indicators (KPIs) to track product success and guide decisions. Run experiments (A/B tests, prototypes) to validate ideas quickly. Incorporate data and user feedback to continuously refine and improve the product.
  • Advocate for the user: Champion user-centered design and accessibility best practices throughout the process. Ensure solutions are intuitive and address real pain points.
  • Ensure quality of delivery: Collaborate with developers during implementation to verify the final product matches the envisioned user experience. Help troubleshoot issues, guide releases, and support the team in iterating post-launch.

Qualifications

  • Experience: 3–5 years of product management experience, preferably on SaaS, workflow, or productivity platforms. Demonstrated success owning software products or features from concept to release.
  • Customer-focused: Deep empathy for users and a passion for solving their problems. Proven track record of conducting user research and translating insights into product improvements.
  • Analytical & data-driven: Strong analytical skills and comfort with data. You use metrics and experiments to inform your decisions and validate outcomes.
  • Agile mindset: Familiarity with Agile frameworks (Scrum, Kanban, etc.) and experience leading cross-functional teams in an agile environment. Skilled in backlog management, sprint planning, and iterative delivery.
  • Strategic thinker: Ability to set product strategy and roadmap while balancing short-term wins and long-term vision. Comfortable with complexity and adapting priorities as new insights emerge.
  • Collaboration & communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Able to clearly articulate complex ideas to different audiences (engineering, design, executives, customers). Experience working in a distributed or remote team is a plus.
  • Self-driven & organized: Proactive and highly organized. Comfortable managing multiple initiatives in a remote environment. You take ownership of your work while seeking input when needed.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in a related field (e.g. Business, Computer Science, HCI) or equivalent experience.
  • Bonus: Interest or background in architecture, construction, engineering, or legal technology.
