  • OVERVIEW
  • CNBC is seeking a dynamic Producer to lead the end-to-end production of its “business of tech” series, Built for Billions, and support Europe-based episodes of CNBC Make It’s Founder Effect. Reporting to the Managing Producer, Original Video (Europe), this role is ideal for a proactive storyteller who thrives in a fast-paced, editorially rigorous environment.
  • The Producer will be responsible for all aspects of production—from concept development to final delivery—including story development, guest booking, scripting and video editing. They will ensure all content aligns with CNBC’s editorial standards and production values across platforms: linear TV, digital streaming (e.g., YouTube), and video-first social media.
  • This role requires a confident collaborator who can work closely with on-screen talent, conduct pre-interviews and support field shoots, which may involve occasional travel. Proficiency in video editing and a strong understanding of multiplatform content strategy are essential.

  • KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Lead the production of Built for Billions, managing all phases from concept development to final delivery.
  • Collaborate with CNBC Make It reporters on Founder Effect, overseeing the production and post-production of Europe-based episodes.
  • Develop compelling story ideas, conduct thorough research and write scripts that meet CNBC’s editorial standards.
  • Produce both field and studio shoots, including pre-interviews, logistics coordination and working closely with on-camera talent.
  • Edit video content using Adobe Premiere, managing post-production workflows through to final cut.
  • Liaise with the creative team to develop motion graphics and data visualizations that enhance storytelling and viewer engagement.
  • Manage image and video licensing to ensure all third-party assets are properly sourced and cleared to support visual storytelling.
  • Serve as the day-to-day editorial lead on assigned projects, incorporating feedback and guidance from the Managing Producer, Originals (Europe) and Head of International Originals.
  • Ensure all content is fact-checked, editorially sound, and delivered on time.
  • Observe audience performance data to inform editorial and creative decisions for future episodes.
  • Collaborate with teams across CNBC International—including TV news, digital and marketing—to maximize reach and impact.
  • Travel as needed for field production.
  • Qualifications
  • SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE AND REQUIREMENTS
  • ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENT
  • Demonstrated experience in producing, scripting and editing video content.
  • Strong editorial judgment and the ability to translate complex business and tech topics into engaging visual stories.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Premiere (or equivalent) and familiarity with professional production workflows.
  • Proven ability to manage projects end-to-end under tight deadlines.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills, with a collaborative mindset.
  • Comfortable working behind the scenes with on-camera talent and conducting interviews.
  • DESIRED ATTRIBUTES
  • 4–6 years of experience in video production, ideally within business, technology or feature storytelling.
  • Interest in audience analytics and applying insights to enhance engagement and retention.
  • Highly motivated, creative and solutions-oriented, with the ability to work independently while integrating editorial feedback.
  • Knowledge of social and digital video platforms, especially YouTube.
  • Passion for global business, economics and technology.
