• We’re hiring a Procurement Specialist - a key role in our Procurement team, helping to shape how NewDay works with the suppliers and partners that power our business. This is a hands-on, fast-paced role where you’ll lead the onboarding, contracting, and management of a wide range of suppliers across the business for a 12 month maternity contract. From owning day-to-day sourcing activity to delivering cost savings and improving processes, you’ll be at the centre of making sure our Procurement operations are efficient, strategic, and future-ready. You’ll work closely with teams across Marketing, Operations and Professional Services, acting as a trusted advisor on sourcing best practice, supplier management, and risk controls. What will you be doing day-to-day? Act as “go-to” contact for Business functions, directly advising on required processes and correct Procurement contact points Triage and digitally manage new supplier on-boarding requests, ensuring correct risk identification and Procurement pathway Lead commercial and contract negotiation for “standard” new supplier onboards and ensure completion of the supplier on-boarding and contract execution process Lead contract renewals for “standard” suppliers, ensuring supplier risk profiles are validated and contracts remediated, as necessary. Complete SOW extensions ensuring governance checks are completed Management and execution of NDAs Develop and deliver Sourcing category plans for Leverage supply categories Support Senior Sourcing Specialists on Strategic Procurement matters with primary focus on Marketing, Operations and Professional Services categories Actively identify and deliver supplier savings in line with individual and team savings targets Produce and maintain Sourcing team MI including Supplier spend and contract expiry data Act as a PO gatekeeper in Purchase2Pay system for selected suppliers Maintaining and improving Sourcing team procedures and process documentation Help develop, deliver and train business functions on new Procurement processes Your Skills and Experience Essential Prior Procurement experience, must include reviewing contracts and contract negotiation Degree (or equivalent) or experience of a Procurement Graduate scheme Proven interpersonal and relationship building skills Excellent command of MS tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) Strong numeracy skills and commercially minded with proven experience of pricing negotiations Knowledge and understanding of Sourcing processes and Procurement risks Desirable Financial Services or Regulated Industry experience Procurement process development and implementation experience Experience working with AI and Procurement Experience working with Procurement/P2P systems and DocuSign Your Personal Attributes Suited to working in a fast-paced environment Process orientated approach Self-motivated, with the strive to continuously find opportunities for improvement Ability to plan, prioritise and coordinate own work, and to take ownership for own actions Pays attention to detail Seeks out all the information available / makes vital checks before responding or referring for help A willingness to learn and develop by taking on new tasks and supporting more Senior team members Excellent communicator who proactively provides concise updates on progress, both verbally and written We work with Textio to make our job design and hiring inclusive.
