Rate: £650-£750 via an umbrella company

Are you an experienced procurement professional with a deep understanding of the public sector? Do you excel at providing expert advice, leading complex tenders, and shaping commercial strategy? If so, we want to hear from you.

We are looking for a Senior Commercial & Procurement expert to join our Client. In this pivotal role, you will be a key player in ensuring all procurement activities are both commercial and fully compliant. You'll work closely with business stakeholders, offering your expertise and guidance to support strategic decision-making and drive continuous improvement.

What You'll Do

• Provide expert advice on all procurement matters, using your extensive knowledge of public sector processes and regulations.
• Lead and manage complex, high-value procurements, including Public Sector regulated tenders (OJEU/Find a Tender).
• Produce and manage all necessary procurement documentation, from tender creation to evaluation.
• Lead evaluation and moderation processes to ensure fair and compliant outcomes.
• Contribute compelling MI insights to inform management and strategic planning.
• Act as a main point of contact for our internal and external legal advisors.
• Support contract and supplier relationship management across the business.
• Help shape the future of the Commercial and Procurement function, establishing it as a strategic partner within the Bank.

What You'll Bring

• Extensive and demonstrable experience in public sector procurement, including leading and running regulated tenders (OJEU/Find a Tender).
• A deep understanding of public procurement legislation and regulation.
• A strong commercial mindset with a proven ability to provide commercially focused advice.
• Expertise in professional services procurement.
• High-level knowledge of commercial contracts, including formation, drafting, and negotiation.
• The ability to act as a procurement strategist and practitioner, with broad category expertise in services.
