Procurement Policy & Governance Lead Location: Flexible / Hybrid Contract Type: Permanent About the Role As Procurement Policy & Governance Lead, you will play a pivotal role in driving procurement transformation, ensuring compliance with legislation, and delivering value for money across all procurement activities. You’ll influence senior stakeholders, develop robust policies and strategies, and champion best practice in procurement governance. Key Responsibilities Develop and implement procurement policies and governance frameworks aligned with legislative requirements.Advise senior leaders and stakeholders on procurement strategy, compliance, and risk management.Lead initiatives to deliver savings, social value, and innovation through procurement.Oversee training and workshops to build organisational capability in procurement and commercial practices.Act as a trusted advisor on complex procurement issues and deputise for senior leadership when required. About You Degree in a relevant subject (e.g., Policy Research, Market Research, Public Management) or equivalent experience.Strong knowledge of public procurement legislation and policy issues (e.g., Social Value, Climate Change, Modern Slavery).Proven experience in developing procurement strategies and leading change in complex organisations.Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence at senior levels.Project management qualification (e.g., PRINCE2, Agile) desirable.
