Job Title: Principal Engineer – Nuclear Substantiation (Site) Location: Barrow-in-Furness. Salary: £60,000 + depending on experience What you’ll be doing: Authoring and managing nuclear site assets’ design substantiation documentation supporting the site nuclear safety caseReviewing analyses, assessments, and calculations supporting nuclear design substantiationSupporting periodic review of safetyTaking ownership of deliverables, and demonstrating high levels of autonomy and leadershipSupporting the implementation of design substantiation requirementsWorking closely with a broad range of stakeholders including Site Safety Case, Human Factors, and Engineering Authority TeamsSupport in the development of other Nuclear Substantiation team membersCollaborating with the wider business on site assets nuclear design substantiation related activities Your skills and experiences: Essential: Experience of the nuclear industry and nuclear safety regulationsDegree qualified in a STEM subject or equivalent working experience.Ability to produce high quality technical reportsDetermined in driving all deliverable and associated activities through due process to completionExcellent stakeholder management Desirable: Broad understanding of multiple engineering disciplinesChartered Engineer from the Engineering Council and a member of a relevant professional bodyNuclear design substantiation analysis and assessment exposure/experience Benefits: As well as a competitive pension scheme, BAE Systems also offers employee
