Specifically, you will lead and deliver projects that include tailored market overviews and outlooks, feasibility assessments and analysis, industry cost modelling and analysis, supply-chain mapping and material sourcing strategies, and other bespoke engagements.You will be joining a dynamic global team dedicated to analysing and forecasting metals, mining and minerals markets. You will leverage Fastmarkets’ existing data, insights and analyst team as an integral component of our consulting delivery.The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced and innovative environment, have a can-do attitude and can juggle a wide variety of tasks and projects.ResponsibilitiesWinning, executing, and project managing (both independently and in collaboration with our delivery teams) a range of commodity-related market consultancy projects across metals commodity verticals.Managing the development and delivery of consultancy projects with a strong onus in meeting client time deadlines in providing strategic, due diligence, and general market/price forecasting services to major global commodity-related clients Managing and supporting consultancy deliverables (self-sufficiently and managing others) that is robust, accurate, and well-researched and project managing resources utilizing modelling, data collection, and research interview techniques Developing and supporting sales strategies to execute effective implementation of sales methodologiesDeveloping and building existing customer relationships and acquiring new consultancy customers, as well as repeat businessWillingness to be responsible for the complete sales cycle (end-to-end) when neededProcessing of tenders both independently and in cooperation with our delivery teamsCreating "customized" detailed pitch decks and individualized offers utilizing strong technical knowledge of the commodity marketsForecasting and CRM reportingParticipate in events and sales/marketing activities with a focus on existing and potential client business opportunitiesUtilize professional network to surface opportunities and to source independent contractors to support delivery of engagements.Qualifications Experience and skills required10+ years of consulting experience in commodities research, focusing on metals, mining and minerals industriesStrong acumen and desire for business development is essentialAbility and experience in managing, conducting, and researching commodity market studies both self-sufficiently, as well as with members of a team often not located in the same officeExperience in complex solution selling and project execution/management involving single-client consultancy services workExperience in project and client relationship management across varying market sectors and customer profilesExperience in developing and executing strategies for growth and high work-quality attainmentStrong commercial focus with good understanding from working with stakeholders at C-levelFluent in English, a second language preferredFlexibility and willingness to travel when requiredAn already established client and industry contact network would be desirableSelf-starter and ‘hunter’ mentality with strong personal drive is essential, with the ability to thrive in a multitasking environmentAccountable and performance-drivenEffective communication in person, on the phone, in writing and onlineEffective and amiable team player keen on making clients, project members, and colleagues happy while achieving ambitious objectivesAdditional InformationFastmarkets people come from all different walks of life.
