The Role:

As a Primary Teaching Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting the class teacher, facilitating learning activities, and providing direct support to individual pupils or small groups.

Key Roles and Responsibilities:

• Support Learning: Assist the class teacher with the preparation and delivery of learning activities across the curriculum (e.g., phonics, literacy, numeracy).
• Individual/Group Support: Work closely with individual pupils, including those with Special Educational Needs (SEN), or small groups to reinforce learning and address specific needs.
• Classroom Management: Help maintain a stimulating, safe, and tidy learning environment, including preparing resources and displays.
• Behaviour and Welfare: Support the school's positive behaviour policy, supervising pupils during lessons, break times, and lunchtimes, ensuring their well-being and safety.
• Administrative Tasks: Carry out routine administrative tasks such as photocopying, filing, and collating student work.
• Communication: Provide feedback to the class teacher on student progress, behaviour, and development.
