As a Year 1 Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality lessons and supporting the academic and social development of your students in this pivotal year.This full-time maternity cover role will provide you with the chance to make a real impact on the learning and development of young children in their first year of Key Stage 1.Key Responsibilities: Plan, deliver, and assess high-quality lessons that are engaging, challenging, and appropriate for Year 1 students. Create a positive and stimulating classroom environment that encourages independent learning. Differentiate learning activities to meet the diverse needs of all students, including those with special educational needs (SEN). Track and monitor student progress, providing feedback to both students and parents. Work closely with teaching assistants and other staff to ensure a collaborative approach to teaching and learning. Maintain a safe, respectful, and nurturing classroom environment. Participate in staff meetings, parent evenings, and professional development sessions.Requirements: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with experience teaching in Year 1 or a similar Key Stage 1 setting. A thorough understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) and National Curriculum for Key Stage 1. Strong classroom management skills with a creative and inclusive approach to teaching.<br
