Primary School Teacher in an SEN School

Are you an exceptional primary school teacher ready to make a profound impact in a nurturing and specialised learning environment? We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate teacher to join our team at a highly regarded primary school for students with Special Educational Needs (SEN).

Our school is committed to providing a safe, supportive, and stimulating environment where every child can thrive. We cater to students in Years 2 to 6 who have specific communication and social interaction needs, primarily associated with Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC). We use a holistic, strengths-based approach to education, focusing on developing our students' independence, social skills, and academic potential.

You'll be part of a collaborative team of educators, therapists, and support staff who are all dedicated to helping our students achieve their full potential. The role involves delivering a differentiated and engaging curriculum that meets the diverse learning needs of our students. We emphasise a personalised learning approach, using a variety of teaching methodologies to ensure every child feels successful and confident.

Key Responsibilities & Skills

• Deliver high-quality teaching and learning tailored to students with ASC.

• Differentiate instruction effectively to support a wide range of academic and social needs.

• Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs).

• Demonstrate strong classroom management skills and a proactive, positive behaviour management approach.

• Utilise data-driven instruction to monitor student progress and inform teaching practices.

Qualifications

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.

• Essential experience working with students with Special Educational Needs (SEN), particularly those with Autism Spectrum Condition.
