(pro-rata) + 17% superannuation About the opportunity The School of Architecture, Design and Planning has a strong record in architecture and architectural science education and is recognized as an international leader in research in this field. We are now recruiting a Postdoctoral Research Fellow to support a broad range of architectural science research projects. They will conduct research and/or scholarly activities under the supervision of senior academic staff, and they will assist in the development and management of research projects that investigate air quality, thermal comfort, sleep environments, and occupant survey. The role will involve coordinating both laboratory experiments and field studies to deliver high-quality research outcomes. Your key responsibilities will be to: contributing to existing research projects on thermal comfort, indoor air quality, bedroom environments and sleep quality, and post-occupancy evaluation conducting literature searches using relevant databases, developing study protocols, preparing surveys/experiments, managing and cleaning datasets, data analysis using R, data visualisation, and reproducible workflows collaborating with a wide range of stakeholders and leading external engagement with researchers, institutes, and industry partners leading and contributing to grant applications to relevant funding bodies supervising research assistants and providing effective leadership in day-to-day project delivery coordinating, integrating, and communicating research outcomes, both individually and in collaboration with teams actively contributing to, and taking a leading role in, the organisation and promotion of seminars and workshops related to these projects. About you PhD in architectural science or building physics demonstrated experience in thermal comfort, indoor air quality and ventilation, bedroom environments and sleep quality, and post-occupancy evaluation strong knowledge of statistics and proficiency in R (data wrangling, analysis, and visualisation) proven ability to work collaboratively, provide intelligent leadership, and engage externally with researchers, institutes, and industry partners evidence of an emerging research profile, with the capacity to conduct independent research and lead the development and completion of research papers.
