The Opportunity Adobe seeks a dynamic EMEA Policy and Corporate Issues Communications Lead to champion Adobe’s reputation as a trusted AI innovator, driving positive societal impact through creativity, technology, and advocacy. This role will involve leading communications for Adobe’s policy positions in the UK and EU, engaging with external stakeholders, press, and partners. Additional responsibility involves overseeing and managing corporate issues management, collaborating closely with the EMEA Communications team to mitigate risks and protect the brand. What you'll do Policy Communications Develop and execute communications strategies for policy priorities, ensuring consistent messaging across all channels (owned, earned, paid, shared). Define and articulate Adobe’s policy messaging and positioning for external engagements and thought leadership. Advance stories on key policy and advocacy topics, including creativity, AI, trust & choice, AI ethics, and innovation. Serve as the lead for policy matters, training and guiding spokespeople on core messages and risks. Partner with Government Relations, Legal, Privacy, and Security teams to align policy communications with business priorities. Build relationships with internal leaders and external organizations to advance Adobe’s policy and industry priorities. Facilitate discussions that incorporate diverse viewpoints and strengthen policy analysis. Lead consultants and agency partners to deliver creative, impactful initiatives and measure programme success. Continuously seek feedback to improve communication and engagement strategies. Issues Management Lead the issues management process, partnering closely with both the EMEA Communications team and Global Communications to ensure alignment and effective response to emerging risks. Collaborate with cross-functional teams – including Government Relations, Legal, Privacy, and Security – to anticipate, assess, and address issues that may impact Adobe’s reputation. Integrate issues management with policy communications by proactively considering the macro and regulatory environment, ensuring that responses and strategies are informed by broader trends and developments. Provide strategic counsel and develop response plans for critical issues, ensuring timely and coordinated action in country, across the region and business functions. Lead media conversations with reporters to manage and respond to issues. What you need to succeed Minimum 10 years’ experience in media communications, digital media technology, or public policy, with a proven track record in the UK/EU context. Deep understanding of the policy environment, including current trends and future directions. Expertise in issues management and skills in judgment, critical thinking, and decision-making skills. Experience crafting communication strategies and content policies across multiple topics and jurisdictions. Strong knowledge of commercial content licensing, IP, trademark, copyright, and online safety regulations. Demonstrated ability to scale policy development and implementation across business lines. Exceptional communication, writing, and interpersonal skills. Proven leadership in project management and cross-functional collaboration.
