Your new companyHays are looking for an experienced Plumbing & Heating Engineer to work across void and occupied social housing properties. The role includes reactive repairs, maintenance, and installation of heating systems, boilers, and general plumbing. Your new role Carry out plumbing and heating repairs, maintenance, and installations in both void and occupied social housing unitsDiagnose faults and carry out reactive and planned works on boilers, radiators, pipework, and heating systemsInstall and commission new heating systems and appliances in line with current regulationsEnsure all work complies with health and safety standards and relevant legislation Communicate effectively with tenants, housing officers, and other traders to ensure smooth job deliveryMaintain accurate records of work completed, materials used, and any follow-up actions requiredRespond promptly to emergency call-outs and urgent repairs when required What you'll need to succeed Relevant plumbing/heating qualifications (e.g., NVQ Level 2/3)Experience in social housing environmentsFull UK driving licence What you'll get in returnIn return, you will get a permanent contract with a tier 1 contractor across Manchester.
