• As part of our team, you’ll gain hands-on experience developing system software for high-performance CPUs and contributing to open-source RISC-V projects. The Internship length is flexible (typically 12–16 months). Start Date: May 2026.
• This role is on-site, based out of Santa Clara, CA or Austin, TX.

• Detail-oriented and comfortable managing multiple technical priorities.
• What We Need
• Enrolled in a Bachelor’s degree program in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Strong programming skills (Assembly, C, Python preferred).
• Experience with Linux operating systems.
• Familiarity with version control (Git preferred).
• Interest in CPUs, operating systems, firmware, and low-level software.
• Eagerness to learn and adapt to new technologies.
• What You Will Learn
• Build software and scripts to run on high-performance CPUs.
• Enhance system software testing and optimization for pre-silicon environments.
• Maintain Git infrastructure supporting CI/CD and nightly regressions.
• Develop tools and scripts for design flow automation.
• Contribute to open-source RISC-V projects and collaborate with engineers on software performance improvements.
• Compensation for all interns at Tenstorrent ranges from $50/hr - $70/hr including base and variable compensation targets. Experience, skills, education, background and location all impact the actual offer made.
