Personal Assistant Wanted
Are you caring, patient, and enthusiastic? We are looking for a Personal Assistant to support a wonderful gentleman with visual impairment in his own home and within the community. The role focuses on maintaining his safety, wellbeing, and independence. He is insulin‑dependent and requires support with managing this.

What You’ll Do

- Personal care support (showering, dressing, skin integrity care)
- Medication administration and insulin support
- Support with food shopping
- Meal preparation, nutritional support, and batch cooking
- Light domestic support
- Supporting access to N‑Vision day centre (one day per week)
- Encouragement of light exercise or short walks
- Ensuring Vitaline pendant is worn at all times
- Ensuring walkways and floors are kept clear to reduce fall risks

Domestic Tasks (throughout the week)
- Laundry
- Washing up
- Taking out bins/rubbish
- Maintaining a safe, clean environment


Weekly Schedule
Morning Visits (Monday–Sunday)
1 hour between 8:00–9:00am

- Medication support/oversight
- Shower support
- Skin integrity care
- Support with dressing
- Breakfast preparation

Lunch Visits (Monday–Sunday, excluding Thursday)
1 hour at 12:30pm

- Lunch preparation with the client (sandwich and drink)
- Socialisation

Evening Visits (Monday–Sunday)
1 hour between 5:30–6:30pm

- Medication support/oversight
- Hot evening meal (heated from batch‑cooked meals; sandwich only on Thursdays)
- Socialisation

Thursday – N‑Vision Day

- Usual morning visit
- Drop‑off at N‑Vision for 10:00am
- Collection at 3:00pm and return home
- Evening visit as usual (sandwich only)


About You

- Caring, patient, and open‑minded
- Care background preferred
- Highly motivated to promote independence and safety
- Excellent communication skills
- Enthusiastic, reliable, and adaptable
- Flexible with working times

Essential Requirements

- Full, clean UK driving licence
- Enhanced DBS check required (no cost to applicant)
