This alternative provision in South Birmingham is seeking a dedicated PE Teacher to join their supportive and forward-thinking team.The school provides education for students who have faced barriers to learning, often due to social, emotional, or behavioural challenges. The ideal PE Teacher will be someone who can engage and motivate learners, building confidence through sport and physical activity. With small class sizes, strong pastoral support, and excellent facilities, this is a fantastic opportunity to help students rediscover their love for learning and personal development.Job Role: Teaching PE to small groups of Key Stage 3 and 4 students with SEMH needs and challenging behaviours.Planning and delivering engaging, inclusive, and practical PE lessons that promote teamwork, fitness, and wellbeing.Encouraging positive participation and personal growth through sport and physical education.Managing behaviour effectively and using positive reinforcement strategies to motivate learners.Working closely with the pastoral and SEN teams to support each child holistically.Monitoring progress and adapting lessons to meet individual learning needs. Requirements: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.Experience teaching PE, ideally within an alternative provision, PRU, or SEMH setting.Excellent classroom management and the ability to engage hard-to-reach learners.A flexible, patient, and empathetic approach.Strong communication and teamwork skills.
