Highlights: Summary: Responsible for ensuring accuracy and effective use of Cerner RevCycle, Centricity, Medisys and all supporting systems of the PBO for Baptist Health. The position will have a working knowledge of systems and verification of data for reporting, such as departmental revenue, RVU data, Physician Dashboards, DNFB and ATB integrity and other report integrity. Create reports as required and interacts with senior management to influence decision making based on accurate Revenue Cycle reports. Interacts with Decision Support with report review/interpretation and IT for management of Help Desk tickets, system upgrades and workflow changes. Assists PBO management in development of PBO processes and metrics as well as monitoring/reporting claim suspension and denial trending. Education / Experience:Undergraduate degree required. In lieu of degree, 10+ years of healthcare /IT related work experience. Relational database skills required. License / Certification: None Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: - Word processing and spreadsheet skills - Strong analytical skills for trend identification and data interpretation. - Strong verbal and written skills to effectively communicate and present information with physician staff, management, and co-workers. - Ability to work quickly and accurately with attention to detail with focus on accuracy. - Must be able to demonstrate good organizational and multi-tasking skills (balancing multiple priorities). - Must be familiar with healthcare A/R revenue cycle management, preferably in a physician environment, and what is required to attain optimal collection performance standards. - Demonstrated understanding of insurance reimbursement principals within Professional Revenue Cycle. - Must work effectively with Physicians, Practice Managers, and management. - Ability to work independently and as a member of a team. - Commitment to financial reporting deadlines and works well under pressure. - Intermediate to advanced proficiency in spreadsheet creation, data mining, graphics and word processing. Skills with additional software packages expected. - Knowledge of accounting principles and business processes. - Demonstrated teaching and training skills in order to foster learning library and self-sufficient reporting for the practices served. - Capable of researching and development regarding new applications and computer systems. - Familiar with medical terminology Working Conditions/Physical Requirements: Position requires sitting for 50% of the workday and mobility 50% of the workday. There is occasional stooping, bending, kneeling, and crouching. There is frequent reaching, use of hands and repetitive action. Requires occasional lifting or carrying up to 25 pounds, pushing/pulling up to 50 pounds. There is a continuous need for speaking with clear diction and hearing sensitivity in conversation either by phone or in person. Continuous visual acuity at close and distant range. Inside protected from weather conditions but not necessarily from temperature changes. Minimal noise levels. Much exposure to computer work. Occasional exposure to risk of electrical shock. Some exposure to infectious disease while performing job-related tasks. Some exposure to hazardous chemicals. Occasional exposure to radiation.
