Payroll and Accounts Administrator, Harrogate | £28,500 per annum | 35hrs/week, Office BasedAn excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Payroll and Accounts Administrator. This is a varied, hands-on role where payroll will be your main focus, alongside supporting the wider finance team with accounts administration.The role is full-time (35 hours per week, Monday to Friday) and fully office based, offering a supportive working environment and strong benefits.You will take ownership of the monthly payroll process, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and excellent service to employees, while also assisting with day-to-day finance administration tasks.Key responsibilities include:PayrollProcessing monthly payroll, including new starters, leavers, sickness absence, holiday pay, and maternity/paternity payAdministering SSP, SMP, and SPP schemesSubmitting accurate monthly RTI submissionsCompleting monthly payroll reconciliations for reviewProviding guidance to staff on pay, tax, and National Insurance queriesAdministering employee benefits, including pensionsCalculating and issuing P60s and P11DsAccounts & Finance SupportSales ledger administrationSetting up direct bank payments and BACSManaging petty cashSupporting wider finance administration (training provided where needed)RequirementsA strong level of numeracy, educated to GCSE level (A–C) in Maths and English or equivalentPrevious experience using payroll systems and payroll proceduresExcellent IT skills, particularly ExcelStrong administrative skills with a high level of accuracy and attention to detailA proactive, organised approach and the ability to work well as part of a teamBene
