We are currently looking for a Payroll Associate to work at our client’s Glasgow office. This position offers a fantastic opportunity to join an extremely reputable business, where you will learn, progress and work within an excellent team.This is a Hybrid working role with 1 day a week working from the office.Duties:Maintain a portfolio of client payrolls processing around 1000 headcount.An understanding of current PAYE and NIC legislation that affects payroll.Ensure all starters, leavers, benefits and allowances information is entered on to the Payroll database and update the relevant spreadsheet to record all entries madeCalculate leavers pay when leaving mid-monthCalculation of statutory paymentsProcess P45 formsPrint and sort payslips for distributionRun payroll reportsEnsure monthly salary payment for client payrolls are transferred to the correct accounts in a timely mannerUpload FPS and EPS reports to HMRC as requiredGood understanding of the payroll software and its functionalityRespond to client queries regarding payroll in a professional and timely mannerDeal with HMRC correspondence enquiriesMaintain an up to date client status scheduleDeal with general administrative duties, as requestedAssist the Supervisors with BACS uploading.Review / Quality Check Associates’ payrolls to ensure accuracy.Resolve any issues with clients / deal with complaints / escalationsPeriodically review payrolls to ensure effective processingSkills:Minimum 1 year’s payroll experienceExperience in processing high volume payslipsAn understanding of basic concepts e.g. Tax codes, current PAYE and NIC legislation that affects payroll.A strong work ethic and willingness to assist other members of
