Role Overview The Part-Time Bookkeeper will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records and supporting efficient day-to-day financial operations. The ideal candidate will bring experience working with SMEs, strong Excel skills, and confidence handling UK accounting procedures. Key Responsibilities: Maintain purchase, and sales ledgersProcess and reconcile invoices, credit notes, expenses, and supplier/customer accountsRecord directors' expenses and investments. Raise invoices via XeroManage invoice queries and overdue paymentsPrepare bank payments and reconcile bank, card, and multi-currency accounts Run monthly payroll and manage pensions Submit HMRC payroll reports and complete year-end tasksPrepare and submit VAT returnsLiaise with an international accountant for overseas VATConduct AML checks and ensure regulatory compliance Produce monthly cash flow forecastsMaintain salary breakdowns Keep accurate financial records and filing. Experience Required for This Role: 3 + years bookkeeping experienceGood understanding of general accounting processes, including VAT and payrollStrong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and WordExperience using Xero accounting softwareStrong attention to detailStrong organisational and communication skillsExperience working with multi-currency accounts (advantageous) Why Join Our Client's Team?
