Location: Northfield Academy
Duration: Permanent, Part Time - 17.5 hours

Roles that require PVG Membership

Please note that with effect from 1 April 2023, where a role requires PVG membership, candidates will be required to meet the cost of the PVG membership. This applies only to roles with a full time equivalent salary of £30,000 and above. (Teaching roles and jobs at Grade 11 and above (currently £30,285 per annum / £16.64 per hour)

The Council will pay for the PVG membership cost initially, either £18 for existing PVG scheme members, or £59 for non-members, and this cost will be deducted from an employee’s first FULL month’s salary payment.

Job purpose/about the role
To deliver quality education to assigned pupils and contribute to the professional, corporate life of the school in relation to pupils, staff and appropriate external bodies within the agreements of the SNCT.

Outreach at Northfield Academy is a well-established support for learners whereby young people access curriculum input - usually Literacy, English, Numeracy and/or Maths - in the community. We are delighted to offer this post on a part-time, permanent basis. The post holder will be fully GTCS registered, confident delivering learning up to/including Level/SCQF 4, and comfortable communicating with learners, families and colleagues alike. Often based within local community spaces working with both individuals and groups, the post holder will effectively manage their caseload/workload in conjunction with the Faculty PT Targeted Support.
