- Job Title: Operations Safety, Health and Environment Manager - On Base
- Location: any on base site – Valley, Coningsby, Leeming, Marham, Lossiemouth (regular travel is required)
- Salary: £65,000
What you’ll be doing
- Leading the Safety, Health and Environment team across multiple sites (On Base) within the UK
- You will be advising on all aspects of safety, health, environment to help support the air strategic objectives and maintain ISO45001, ISO 14001 and ISO50001
- Working with the Leadership team populations, influencing decision making, providing competent advice, supporting culture and collaboration on Safety, Health and Environment strategy and goals
- You will spend a large proportion of your time providing Safety, Health and Environment expertise for the leadership teams across the business and its sites, working with internal and external stakeholders as a subject matter expert, as well as managing a small team of Safety, Health and Environment professionals
- Supporting the delivery of strategic goals and the deployment of the Safety, Health and Environmental strategy and objectives whilst adhering to legal requirements
Your skills and experiences
- Essential
- Proven experience in applying SHE knowledge and processes in work-related situations.
One of the following
- NEBOSH National Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety
- Level 5 NVQ in Occupational Safety and Health Practice
- Level 6 NCRQ Diploma in Applied Health and Safety
- NEBOSH Diploma in Environmental Management
- Safety, Health and/or Environmental Honours Degree (Bachelors or Higher) or similar qualification in a relevant subject
- Strong understanding of SHE requirements, best practice and able to bring their experience to articulate these to influence those in key stakeholders
- Experience in managing people effectively on a broad range of safety, health and environment projects, delivering within budget and to agreed timescales

The SHE Operations team
- As an Operations SHE Manager, you will provide specialist SHE advice, whilst the role is challenging and wide-ranging, you will be part of a wider team of SHE professionals, and you can expect to be provided with a high level of support and development to ensure you are equipped to meet the challenges that the role provides.
- This role will provide you with an opportunity to work with a broad range of stakeholders in a challenging and varied role where no two days are the same.
