Reed is proud to be recruiting on behalf of a market-leading organisation based in Yatton, North Somerset, for a highly analytical and solutions-focused Operational Support Lead. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with a strong grasp of business systems and cross-functional operations to play a pivotal role in supporting the Customer Service Manager and wider Planning, Procurement, and Customer Service teams. While this is not a people management role, you’ll act as a key operational contact across departments, helping to resolve bottlenecks, streamline processes, and support live business projects. Duties: Serve as a central point of contact for operational issues across Customer Service, Planning, and Procurement.Investigate and resolve complex queries related to pricing, exports, planning delays, and data discrepancies.Support ERP system usage and ensure data accuracy across departments.Coordinate small-scale projects and process improvements, particularly around complaints handling and customer management.Compile and interpret reports on KPIs, aged stock, free-of-charge items, and complaints.Maintain a live issue tracker and assist in identifying trends and implementing long-term solutions.Reduce reliance on senior management by proactively resolving routine escalations. Requirements: Strong understanding of business systems and process flows.Advanced Excel skills and confidence in data analysis.Logical, methodical problem-solver with a calm, organised approach.Experience in Customer Service, Procurement, or Planning.Familiarity with export processes, pricing workflows, and business process mapping.Excellent communicator, able to liaise effectively across departments and at all levels.<l
