About the Company:The business is a well-established and growing freight forwarding and logistics company, renowned for providing seamless global shipping solutions. Due to continued expansion, they are now seeking an experienced Ocean Freight Operator to join their dynamic operations team.The Role:As an Ocean Freight Operator, you will be responsible for managing and coordinating all aspects of ocean freight shipments, ensuring smooth end-to-end operations for import consignments. You’ll liaise closely with carriers, agents, and customers to provide efficient, cost-effective, and timely transport solutions.Key Responsibilities:Manage full-cycle ocean freight operations – from booking and documentation to delivery.Coordinate import shipments, ensuring compliance with all customs regulations.Liaise with shipping lines, overseas agents, and customers to arrange and track shipments.Prepare and issue all necessary documentation (Bills of Lading, manifests, invoices, etc.).Provide excellent customer service and proactively resolve shipment issues or delays.Monitor shipment status and update internal systems accurately.Negotiate rates and services with carriers where applicable.About You:Minimum 2 years’ experience in ocean freight operations (import).Strong understanding of international shipping documentation and Incoterms.Excellent communication and organisational skills.Proficient in freight forwarding software and Microsoft Office.A proactive, detail-oriented, and customer-focused approach.What’s on Offer:Competitive salary based on experience.Supportive and friendly working environment.Opportunities fo
