Location: Bourne Hill Council Offices, Wiltshire
Contract Type: Temporary, Full-time (37 hours/week)
Rate: £27.92 per hour PAYE (higher rates for Sundays, Bank Holidays, and overtime)
Start Date: 01/12/2025
End Date: 23/02/2026

The Role:
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Occupational Therapist to join our Reablement Team. This role supports individuals post-hospitalisation, helping them regain independence and confidence. You will conduct strengths-based assessments, design personalised reablement plans, provide professional support and advice to team members, and act as an expert on equipment and care decision-making.

With autonomy over your schedule, you will deliver tailored support to a diverse caseload, ensuring care meets each individual’s unique needs. You will also benefit from mentorship from the Principal Occupational Therapist and access opportunities for professional growth, including leadership and coaching programmes.

Key Responsibilities:

Conduct assessments and design personalised reablement plans to promote independence

Provide professional support, guidance, and training to team members

Act as an expert advisor on equipment and care decisions

Visit clients in their homes or other settings (hospitals, community venues)

Encourage independence and minimise long-term care needs

Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams to ensure coordinated care

Manage a diverse caseload autonomously, tailoring interventions to individual needs

Candidate Requirements:

Qualified Occupational Therapist with minimum 2 years post-qualification experience

Full UK driver’s licence essential

Experience in reablement or community-based occupational therapy

Strong assessment, planning, and intervention skills

Excellent communication, interpersonal, and team-working abilities

Compassionate approach to supporting individuals’ independence
