- Job Title: Occupational Health Advisor
- Location: Rochester
- Salary: £44,000 plus, depending on skills and experience
What you’ll be doing
- Significant experience working as an Occupational Health Advisor (OHA) in a clinical setting
- Proven experience in case management – assessing fitness for work, supporting attendance management, and producing clear, evidence-based reports for management and HR
- Competence in delivering health surveillance programmes (e.g. audiometry, spirometry, skin checks, vision screening)
- Experience in conducting DSE assessments and providing ergonomic advice to support employee wellbeing and compliance
- Experience in travel health assessments, vaccinations, and providing pre-travel advice
- Experience in planning and delivering workplace health and wellbeing initiatives (e.g. mental health awareness, healthy lifestyle campaigns)
Your skills and experiences
Essential
- Registered Nurse (RN) with current NMC registration
- Recognised qualification in Occupational Health (e.g. Diploma or Degree in Occupational Health Nursing)
- Excellent report writing skills with the ability to produce concise, accurate, and professional management reports
- Strong understanding of occupational health legislation, best practice, and clinical governance requirements
- Ability to assess complex health issues and make sound, evidence-based recommendations
- Good IT literacy, including experience with electronic health record systems and Microsoft Office
Desirable
- Sound knowledge of ergonomics and workplace risk factors affecting employee health
