Optimum Contractors are a leading fire protection and remediation company based in Essex, working across London and the South East. We specialise in fire stopping, fire door installation, and passive fire protection, delivering quality workmanship to our valued clients.

We are currently looking for an experienced NVQ-qualified Fire Stopper to join our growing team.

The Role:

You’ll be responsible for carrying out high-quality remedial fire stopping works across various residential and commercial sites, ensuring compliance with all fire safety regulations.

Duties include:

• Removing existing fire stopping and Installing new systems (e.g. Batt & Mastic, Fire Collars, Fire Curtains etc.). Minimal use of fire rated plasterboard might be required in places so knowledge of working with it will be advantageous.
• Working from drawings and specifications
• Recording completed works with photographic evidence in our cloud based system
• Liaising with site managers and the Optimum office team

✅ NVQ Level 2 in Passive Fire Protection
✅ CSCS Card essential
✅ Own tools & transport preferred
✅ Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety
