We are looking for a caring and enthusiastic Nursery Chef to join our friendly early years team. This is a rewarding role for someone who enjoys cooking fresh, nutritious meals and understands the importance of healthy eating in young children’s development. It is a brand new setting so you can learn and grow with the setting . We are very keen to set up a cooking club which you will be involved with which is a exciting balance of being in the kitchen and working alongside the children weekly.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and cook healthy, balanced meals and snacks for children aged [e.g. 0–5 years]
• Plan menus in line with early years nutrition guidelines
• Cater for special dietary requirements and allergies
• Maintain high standards of food hygiene and kitchen cleanliness
• Manage food ordering, stock control, and waste efficiently
• Work closely with nursery staff to support children’s wellbeing

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

• Experience working as a chef or cook (nursery/school experience desirable but not essential)
• Knowledge of food hygiene and allergen awareness
• A Level 2 Food Hygiene Certificate (or willingness to obtain)
• A passion for healthy cooking and working with children
• Good organisation and time-management skills
