We are currently recruiting for ad-hoc, short and long-term Nursery Assistants to support a primary school in Blackpool, our client's building and resources are second to none and rarely found in a primary school. Starting Septemner, they require qualified TAs/nursery staff to support the nursery on a day-to-day and long-term basis in the new academic year. Ideally, a successful candidate would be familiar with Read Write Inc. phonics and if possible continuous provision, this will also be desired to support long-term applications at this school.

We are seeking TA and special support assistants to carry out the following duties:

• To provide in-class support for either the whole class identified individual students or small groups of students (e.g. 4-5 students).
• Under the direction of a class teacher, SENCO, to develop and lead small group work.
• Under the direction of the class teacher, to assist and support in upholding standards of behaviour across the class.
• To assist in delivering and producing teaching and learning materials for students, including differentiating the materials.
• To provide regular feedback to the class teacher and to the SENDCO or the relevant line manager.
• To support the teacher with setting up the class including the daily activities, ensuring that continuous provision is available, display boards, managing pupil journals and workbooks etc.

Essential requirements:

• Hold a relevant childcare qualification (e.g., NVQ Level 2 or equivalent)
• Have a valid First Aid certificate
• Be able to demonstrate a strong understanding of child development
• Be committed to maintaining a safe and nurturing environment
• Be willing to undergo a DBS check

Desired:
