About

Hey folks, The name's Chris, and I'm looking for either a ghostwriter or novelist to help develop and write a Vampire/Vampyre short story that I plan to adapt into a screenplay that I plan to produce ino a short film later in the year (or early next - weather pending - and what time I get off from from day job - which is really sodding boring too - lucky me) The story is to be set primarily in contemporary time (modern day), but may include scenes and references to the late Victorian era. I already have some ideas and scenes in mind, but I’d like to collaborate with the writer to shape them into a story I'm happy with. Fragments of ideas are all I have but writers block is forever. The overall length should be around 18 pages (roughly 11,000–12,000 words, give or take). This is just a ballpark figure. I'm often asked what word count I'm after and I generally don't know. Im not a writer so the word count means nothing to me. But hey, there's your numbers to give you piece of mind. I feel the page count is enough to tell a compelling tale irregardless how it translates into a screenplay (I have another writer for that). What I am interested in ,however, is ending the story on a cliffhanger/open ending with the possibility of exploring it in the future, should an opportunity present itself for a longer iteration. The ideal applicant should have an interest in the horror/supernatural genre. As well as provide at least two samples of their written work for consideration. This is so that I can get a sense of your writing style, world building abilities and character development. Please refrain from submitting any AI generated work. This will immediately have your application thrown out. I do check. For a turnaround time, I'm hoping a draft within 4 weeks is sufficient. Any questions or additional details sought, feel free to ask and reach out. I look forward to talking further with anyone crazy enough to be interested. All the best, Chris P s. Your application might be helped should you provide cake along with it. Just saying.
