About the Role: As a Forwarding Operator, you’ll be responsible for planning, coordinating, and overseeing domestic and international road shipments from start to finish. You’ll negotiate rates, manage hauliers, ensure compliance with customs and transport regulations, and keep customers fully informed throughout the process. This is a hands-on operational role where no two days are the same — ideal for someone who enjoys variety and takes ownership of their work. Key Responsibilities: Operational Duties Secure competitive rates by sourcing and negotiating with hauliers and subcontractors. Arrange and manage road freight movements across the UK and Europe. Monitor shipments proactively and resolve issues before they impact the customer. Provide timely updates, quotations, and support as the main point of contact. Identify trends and opportunities to support business growth. Administration Obtain and distribute all required customs and transport documentation. Ensure files are accurately costed, referenced, and invoiced within deadlines. Maintain strong working relationships with internal teams and external partners. Carry out general administrative tasks as required.
