We connect users with local gyms, upcoming events, job opportunities, services, and a marketplace for gear. Our platform fosters community engagement through posts, reviews, and user profiles. We're currently built on a custom platform (Base44) and are looking to migrate to Webflow to leverage its design flexibility, powerful CMS, and robust ecosystem for future growth. Project Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled Webflow developer or agency to meticulously migrate our existing website from the Base44 platform to Webflow. This is not a simple redesign; it requires careful planning, comprehensive data migration, replication of core functionalities, and adherence to SEO best practices. Our Current Website Features (to be migrated/replicated): Extensive CMS Collections: Gyms, Events, Jobs, Services, Marketplace Stores, Community Posts, User Profiles, Testimonials, Themes, etc. User Accounts: Login/logout, profile management (including martial arts path, saved items). Listing Management: Creation, editing, and display of Gyms, Events, Jobs, Services, and Stores (some are user-generated, some are admin-managed). Community Features: User-generated posts, comments, reviews, liking system. Search & Filtering: Advanced filtering capabilities for all listing types (by martial art, location, type, etc.). Location-Based Services: "Near Me" functionality using user's location. Image Handling: Uploading and display of multiple images for listings and user profiles. Admin Dashboards: Functionality for managing users, listings, content moderation, data curation, analytics, and dynamic theming. SEO: Dynamic SEO titles, meta descriptions, canonical URLs, and structured data (Schema.org) for various content types. PWA Functionality: "Add to Home Screen" support for mobile users. Dynamic Theming: Admin-controlled custom CSS variables for site-wide styling. Key Responsibilities: Strategy & Planning: Work with us to understand the current site structure, data models, and functionalities. Propose the optimal Webflow CMS collection structure to accommodate all existing data. Outline a detailed migration plan, including a strategy for replicating complex features. Design & Development: Recreate the existing website's visual design and user experience accurately within Webflow. Ensure a fully responsive design across all devices (desktop, tablet, mobile). Implement our dynamic theming system within Webflow, possibly using custom CSS properties or Webflow variables. Data Migration (CRITICAL): Efficiently export and import all existing data from Base44 entities into Webflow CMS collections. This includes text content, numbers, arrays (e.g., martial arts types, amenities), and especially all image URLs (logos, banners, gallery images). Develop or implement solutions for data that cannot be directly imported into Webflow CMS (e.g., nested structures, user-specific relational data). Functionality Replication & Integration: Replicate all core user-facing and admin functionalities. This may require: Webflow CMS Expertise: Leveraging Collection Pages, Collection Lists, and native search. Webflow Memberships/User Accounts: For user profiles, login, and saved items. Third-Party Integrations: Potentially integrating with solutions like Memberstack, Auth0, Zapier/Make.com, or custom JavaScript for features not native to Webflow (e.g., user-submitted reviews/posts, advanced messaging). Payment Gateway: If applicable, integrate Stripe for any current/future payment processing. Implement user-friendly forms for listing submission and profile updates. SEO Implementation: Implement SEO best practices, including dynamic meta titles/descriptions, structured data (Schema.org), and image alt tags. Crucially, set up a comprehensive 301 redirect strategy for all existing URLs to their new Webflow counterparts to preserve SEO rankings and traffic. Testing & Launch: Thoroughly test all pages, links, forms, and functionalities across browsers and devices. Assist with the final launch and DNS configuration. Required Skills & Experience: 5+ years of demonstrable experience with Webflow (Designer, CMS, Interactions, Logic, Memberships). Strong proficiency in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript for custom functionality and integrations. Proven experience with complex website migrations, ideally from custom platforms. Expertise in data migration strategies and tools (CSV import/export, API integrations). Deep understanding of SEO best practices, including 301 redirects, structured data, and meta optimization. Experience with API integrations for external services (e.g., authentication, payments, custom forms). Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Strong communication skills. Preferred Qualifications: Experience building and migrating directory, marketplace, or community-based websites. Familiarity with Base44 platform structure (or similar custom backend-as-a-service platforms).
