Teacher of Music (KS3 & KS4) Location: Chelmsford, Essex We are seeking to appoint a creative, enthusiastic, and dedicated Teacher of Music to join our vibrant and forward-thinking department in Chelmsford. This is an exciting opportunity for an ECT or experienced teacher who is passionate about music education and inspiring students at Key Stages 3 and 4. The Role Teach Music across KS3 and KS4 Plan and deliver engaging and inclusive lessons that inspire a love of music Prepare students for GCSE Music (or equivalent) Assess, monitor, and report on student progress Contribute to extra-curricular music activities, such as ensembles, choirs, and performances Work collaboratively within the department and wider school community The Ideal Candidate Will Hold QTS (or be working towards it) Have strong subject knowledge and a passion for Music education Be able to teach practical and theoretical elements of the curriculum Be committed to high standards of teaching, learning, and behaviour Be enthusiastic, organised, and a positive team player Be keen to contribute to the wider musical life of the school We Offer A supportive and welcoming school community Well-resourced music facilities and instruments Supportive induction for ECTs A school in Chelmsford with excellent transport links
