Music Teacher Annual Salary: Paid to scaleLocation: Rural HorshamJob Type: Permanent, Full-timeTo start: January 2026 We are seeking a talented, committed, and enthusiastic Music Teacher to join our outstanding team. This role is ideal for professionals who are flexible, fully committed to engaging with, and maximising the achievement of pupils with Special Educational Needs (SEN) including Social and Emotional Mental Health issues (SEMH). The position is well-suited for teachers with experience in mainstream education and those already working within SEN provisions who are passionate about making a difference. Day-to-day of the role: Deliver engaging and effective music lessons to pupils with SEN, adapting teaching methods and materials to meet their diverse needs.Collaborate with other staff members to plan and coordinate lessons that integrate the latest technology and resources for enhanced learning experiences.Monitor and assess the progress of pupils, adapting lesson plans to cater to their individual needs and abilities.Participate in the school’s extensive professional development programmes to continually enhance teaching skills and SEN knowledge.Contribute to a supportive and caring school environment that upholds the values of being Safe, Caring, and Happy. Required Skills & Qualifications: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)Proven experience as a Music Teacher, with specific experience in teaching pupils with SEN.Strong understanding of the educational needs of pupils with SEN, including those with Autism.Ability to create and adapt educational materials and lessons to meet the needs of SEN pupils.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with staff, pupils, and parents.Commitment to professional development and continuous learning, as evidence
