Moving and Handling OT, Manchester City CouncilPay rate £36 per hourContract roleVitalis are recruiting for an experienced Occupational Therapist to work in a Team in Manchester City Council.Manchester Equipment and Adaptations Partnership (MEAP) is looking for a Moving and Handling OT or Physio to work in the MEAP Moving and Handling TeamWe are seeking a passionate and enthusiastic OT or Physio who wants to make a difference to the lives of our disabled residentsThe provision of appropriate moving and handling equipment and adaptations to disabled and older people can enhance independence, prevent falls and hospital admissions and reduce reliance on care services. The aim is to offer a comprehensive, co-ordinated and streamlined service to our customers. This role covers both children and adultsThis post offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the effective operation of the complex Moving and Handling team within MEAP.The service is extremely busy and deals with the assessment of applicants for complex equipment and major adaptations, Moving and Handling risk assessments and the assessment for and provision of Blue Badges (parking concessions for people with a substantial disability).Don’t forget, if this role isn’t the perfect fit, we’re confident we can find one that is.
