- Job Description
- As a Modern Workplace Architect, you will serve as a trusted advisor and architectural leader for one of our most strategic clients. Partnering closely with both project delivery teams and support functions, you will provide expert guidance and strategic insight to ensure the effective design and implementation of modern workplace solutions. Your deep knowledge of Microsoft 365—particularly SharePoint Online—will be essential in shaping collaborative environments, optimising business processes, and driving digital transformation initiatives. You will champion architectural best practices, bridge communication between technical and non-technical stakeholders, and ensure workplace technologies align seamlessly with the client’s overarching business objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the strategic lead consultant for modern workplace solutions, advising clients on best practices for Microsoft 365 adoption, optimisation, and integration within ITIL-based service frameworks.
- Working in multiple capacities and being able to shift between design and consultancy to hands-on delivery tasks according to the evolving needs of our clients.
- Act as the primary point of contact between the organisation, the Modern Workplace partner, and key stakeholders to ensure seamless collaboration and service excellence.
- Design, implement, and continuously improve ITIL-aligned processes (incident, problem, change, asset, and configuration management) for end-user computing environments.
- Collaborate with multiple teams of experts on workplace technology transformation projects, driving user adoption, change management, and ongoing training initiatives.
- Ensure security, compliance, and data protection standards are consistently maintained across all modern workplace technologies and devices.
- Monitor service performance, conduct root cause analysis, and implement continual service improvements based on ITIL metrics and user feedback.
- Stay abreast of industry trends and emerging Microsoft 365 and device management technologies, recommending and piloting innovative solutions.
- Act as a strategic advisor and architectural leader for the client, providing expert guidance on modern workplace solutions aligned with business objectives.
- Design, implement, and optimise Microsoft 365 environments—especially SharePoint Online—to foster collaboration, streamline business processes, and support digital transformation.
- Champion architectural best practices and ensure alignment between technical and non-technical stakeholders throughout all project phases.
- Lead adoption and integration of modern workplace technologies in ITIL-aligned service environments, driving user engagement and change management initiatives.
- Coordinate with project delivery teams, support functions, and external partners to ensure effective solution delivery and continuous improvement.
- Maintain rigorous security, compliance, and data protection standards across all workplace platforms and devices.
- Stay current with emerging Microsoft 365 and workplace technology trends, introducing innovative approaches as appropriate.
- Qualifications
- Proven experience in a Modern Workplace consultancy or leadership role within an ITIL-aligned managed services environment.
- Exceptional communication, project management, and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Extensive experience in Modern Workplace consultancy or leadership roles within ITIL-aligned managed service environments.
- Advanced technical proficiency in Microsoft 365 applications, with particular expertise in SharePoint Online.
- Demonstrated ability to analyse and anticipate technology trends, maintaining up-to-date knowledge of the evolving Microsoft ecosystem.
- Outstanding communication, project management, and stakeholder engagement capabilities.
- Proactive and analytical problem-solving skills, coupled with a commitment to continuous service improvement and excellence.
