We have a role available for a Military Airport Concierge / EO Coordinator in our Defence division. This is a casual position supporting RAAF bases in South Australia. This role will be required to start on or after 1st February 2026. About the role You will provide specialised logistical support for explosive ordnance and military equipment within a civilian airport environment, ensuring compliance with defence safety standards and facilitating seamless coordination between military operations and airport authorities. This role supports national defence readiness by maintaining the integrity, safety, and operational availability of munitions and related systems transiting through or stored at the facility. You will also provide greeting and escorting tasks as required. Your key responsibilities will include: Supporting the transport, storage, and handling of munitions and military equipment within the airport precinct, ensuring compliance with defence and aviation regulations. Enforcing strict safety protocols in accordance with defence explosive ordnance standards and airport security procedures. Acting as a point of contact between airport operations and defence personnel, facilitating smooth coordination during military exercises, deployments, or emergency responses. Assisting in the setup, monitoring, and maintenance of secure areas designated for military use, including temporary storage units and transit pathways. Maintaining accurate records of ordnance movements, maintenance activities, and incident reports, ensuring traceability and accountability. Performing general administrative tasks such as data entry, filing, scheduling, and communication support to ensure smooth day-to-day operations. About you Our ideal candidate will have: Previous experience in administrative tasks such as scheduling, data entry, filing, and internal communications to support operational efficiency. Demonstrated experience in inspecting, maintaining, and handling explosive ordnance, munitions, or guided weapons ideally within a defence or high-security environment (Preferred). Proven track record of working under strict safety protocols, including familiarity with explosive safety regulations, risk assessments, and incident response procedures. Demonstrated experience in handling, maintaining, and disposing of explosive ordnance in accordance with Australian Defence Force (ADF) or international standards would be highly desirable. Proven knowledge of Work Health and Safety (WHS) protocols, especially in high-risk environments. You must be an Australian Citizen and able to obtain and maintain a Defence Security Clearance.
