At CI&T, we’re looking for a passionate and skilled Mid Java Backend Developer to join our team in Colombia. In this role, you’ll contribute to a cutting-edge, cloud-based project while working in a collaborative, innovative, and multicultural environment.

What You'll Do:
- Design, develop, test, and deploy backend services using Java and Spring Boot.
- Work with both SQL (PostgreSQL) and NoSQL databases to deliver scalable and reliable applications.
- Leverage technologies like Kubernetes, Kafka, Redpanda, and Crunchy Data to build cloud-native solutions.
- Ensure the performance, security, and reliability of applications running on Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to build features that meet client and end-user needs.
- Participate in code reviews, contribute to best practices, and support knowledge sharing across the team.
- Mentor junior team members and contribute to a culture of continuous improvement and learning.
What We’re Looking For:
- We’re excited to hear from candidates with experience or interest in many (not necessarily all) of the following:
- Java and the Spring ecosystem
- JUnit, JPA, and software testing practices
- Kubernetes (K8s) and containerized environments
- Crunchy Data for PostgreSQL in Kubernetes
- Kafka and/or Redpanda for real-time data streaming
- Experience with SQL and NoSQL database management
- Familiarity with GCP and cloud-native development
- Strong communication skills in English (Advanced level preferred)
