- Job Description
- NEC Software Solutions is embarking on a pivotal digital transformation journey by adopting Microsoft Copilot technologies, including Microsoft 365 Copilot, Copilot Studio, and GitHub Copilot. The purpose of this role is to be the catalyst for this change, ensuring these powerful AI tools are not just deployed, but are effectively and securely integrated into the fabric of our daily operations.
- The Microsoft Copilot Specialist is a strategic position that requires a deep understanding of the Copilot ecosystem and the ability to lead the charge from a business and change management perspective. You will be responsible for defining the vision, building the strategy, and driving widespread adoption. This involves understanding the business's needs, articulating the value of AI, and overcoming the cultural and operational challenges that accompany the introduction of a new way of working.
- This role is about maximizing the return on our investment in Copilot by demonstrating tangible value, fostering a culture of innovation, and ensuring every colleague has the knowledge and confidence to leverage these tools effectively. You will be the bridge between technology and the business, ensuring our digital transformation is successful, secure, and truly benefits the entire organisation.
- The successful candidate will be a member of the central architecture and design function positioned within the enterprise architecture team that comprises existing technology specialists focused on Microsoft 365. You will benefit from being part of a team with broad skills across enterprise, security, technical and solution architecture domains.
Responsibilities will include
- Champion Adoption: Act as the visible advocate and subject matter expert for Copilot tools across NEC Software Solutions. You will actively engage with key stakeholders and business unit leaders to build excitement and ensure they understand the tangible benefits and strategic use cases for their teams.
- Use Case Development: Lead the identification, design, and execution of high-impact pilot programs. You will work directly with business teams to discover priority use cases for 365 Copilot, Copilot Studio, and GitHub Copilot, establishing a robust framework for testing, validating, and scaling successful implementations across the organisation.
- Program Management & Business Integration: Lead the effort to integrate Copilot technologies into existing business workflows. You will collaborate with project and engineering teams to ensure Copilot is deployed smoothly and demonstrate how it can enhance productivity (e.g., drafting, summarisation, code generation, and automation) while also improving the overall security posture.
- Strategic Tool Evaluation: Conduct in-depth evaluations of AI-driven technologies, tools, and services from a strategic, financial, and operational perspective. You will provide well-researched recommendations to senior leadership to inform purchasing and investment decisions.
- Enablement & Training: Develop and deliver targeted guidance, best-practice playbooks, and engaging training sessions for colleagues at all levels. You will tailor content to both technical and non-technical audiences, ensuring everyone can confidently and securely use Copilot tools to drive their own productivity.
- Documentation: Take ownership of the creation and review of critical documentation, including program plans, security policies, and user playbooks related to the adoption and best practices of Copilot technologies.
- Governance & Best Practice: Define and embed clear policies and a robust framework for the safe, secure, and ethical use of generative AI. You will ensure the organisation adheres to internal standards and external compliance requirements, such as ISO 27001, ISO42001, so to mitigate risks associated with new technologies.
- Metrics & Reporting: Establish and maintain a clear reporting structure to track key metrics. You will measure adoption and usage growth, quantify productivity gains from identified use cases, and provide regular, data-driven reports to senior leadership on the overall value of the Copilot program.
- Continuous Improvement: Proactively research and stay on top of emerging technologies and potential security threats from a business and risk perspective. You will be responsible for creating and presenting compelling business cases and strategic proposals to demonstrate how new technologies can benefit the business.
