About The Role:

Key Roles and Responsibilities:

• Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging, high-quality MFL lessons (French and/or Spanish) across Key Stages 3, 4, and 5.
• Assess, monitor, and track student progress, providing timely and constructive feedback to ensure all learners meet their full potential.
• Contribute proactively to the continuous development of the MFL curriculum and departmental resources.
• Maintain a stimulating, well-organised, and positive classroom environment that fosters mutual respect and high standards of behaviour.
• Participate fully in departmental and whole-school activities, including parents' evenings and professional training.
• Contribute to the extra-curricular life of the school, potentially through running a language club, facilitating cultural events, or supporting school trips/exchanges.

What We Are Looking For

We are searching for an exceptional teacher who is dedicated to fostering a love of languages and culture in every student they teach.

The ideal candidate will possess:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a relevant degree in a Modern Foreign Language.
• Proven ability to teach French and/or Spanish to a high standard, up to at least Key Stage 4, and ideally Key Stage 5.
• A track record of raising student attainment and using innovative teaching methods to make language learning fun and accessible.
• Outstanding classroom management skills and the ability to inspire and motivate students of all abilities and backgrounds.
• A strong commitment to ongoing professional development and using technology to enhance the learning experience.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a collaborative approach to working within a team.
