About The Role:
This pivotal role requires a Teacher who is passionate about languages, culture, and communication. You will be instrumental in maintaining the high standards of achievement within the department and inspiring students to pursue languages beyond compulsory study.

Key Roles and Responsibilities:
- Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging, high-quality MFL lessons (French and/or Spanish) across Key Stages 3, 4, and 5.
- Assess, monitor, and track student progress, providing timely and constructive feedback to ensure all learners meet their full potential.
- Contribute proactively to the continuous development of the MFL curriculum and departmental resources.
- Maintain a stimulating, well-organised, and positive classroom environment that fosters mutual respect and high standards of behaviour.
- Participate fully in departmental and whole-school activities, including parents' evenings and professional training.
- Contribute to the extra-curricular life of the school, potentially through running a language club, facilitating cultural events, or supporting school trips/exchanges.
What We Are Looking For
We are searching for an exceptional teacher who is dedicated to fostering a love of languages and culture in every student they teach.
The ideal candidate will possess:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a relevant degree in a Modern Foreign Language.
- Proven ability to teach French and/or Spanish to a high standard, up to at least Key Stage 4, and ideally Key Stage 5.
- A track record of raising student attainment and using innovative teaching methods to make language learning fun and accessible.
- Outstanding classroom management skills and the ability to inspire and motivate students of all abilities and backgrounds.
- A strong commitment to ongoing professional development and using technology to enhance the learning experience.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a collaborative approach to working within a team.
