Role Overview:Reporting directly to the Production Team Leader, the Mechanical Technician will play a key role in pipe preparation, assembly and welding. In this position, you’ll apply your mechanical skills and work with a keen eye for detail, ensuring that all work meets high standards of quality. This role also requires you to raise any issues or discrepancies promptly to maintain seamless operations.As a Mechanical Technician, you are expected to have a foundational skill set in your field. While you may not yet be fully competent in all areas, you will receive the guidance and supervision needed to develop further. Your progress will be assessed by Production Supervisors through a detailed Skills Matrix, which outlines the competency levels required for each stage of a Mechanical Technician’s development.Key Responsibilities:Assist in the preparation and assembly of pipes and manifolds, ensuring that work meets the exacting quality standards.Perform welding tasks, with a focus on precision and attention to detail.Report any issues or discrepancies promptly to ensure continuous improvement and adherence to high-quality standards.Collaborate with the Production Team Leader and Supervisors to ensure work is completed on time and to specification.Learn and develop through practical training and guidance, with regular assessments against the Skills Matrix.Person Specification:Ability to demonstrate attention to detail and maintain high-quality standards.Basic competency in mechanical skills, with a willingness to learn and develop.Strong communication skills and the ability to work well in a team environment.A proactive attitude, with a focus on safety and quality.Comfortable receiving feedback and adjusting practices to meet higher skill levels.Benefits:<
