We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Fitter to join our team in Suffolk on a temporary basis for up to 3 months. The successful candidate will have hands-on mechanical fitting experience, with welding, drilling, and calibration skills essential. No design work is required. Full training will be provided on all company machinery and equipment.Key Responsibilities• Carry out mechanical fitting, assembly, and maintenance tasks on a variety of machinery and equipment• Perform welding, drilling, and calibration work to required standards• Read and work from engineering instructions and job sheets (no design responsibilities)• Conduct routine inspections and basic maintenance• Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in a safe and organised manner• Collaborate with production and engineering teams to support daily operations• Follow all company health, safety, and environmental proceduresTraining & Development• Full training provided on all in-house machinery and equipmentAdditional Information• Temporary contract for up to 3 months• Overtime available depending on workload• Competitive hourly rate of £18 – £20Skills:Essential Skills & Experience• Proven experience as a Mechanical Fitter or in a similar mechanical/engineering role• Proficiency in welding, drilling, and calibration• Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills• Ability to work accurately and follow technical instructions• High attention to detail and commitment to qualityDesirable Skills & Experience• Experience operating a forklift and/or overhead crane• Valid certificates for lifting equipment (advantageous but not required)Keywords:Core Job KeywordsMechanical FitterMechanical EngineeringMechanical AssemblyMechanical Ma
