- Job Description
- As a Mechanical Engineer , you will join Derby team to support our activities within the Nuclear sector.
- You will support design activities using Siemens NX and Teamcenter, contributing to the creation, management, and release of mechanical design data in a highly regulated engineering environment. This role offers the opportunity to develop hands-on experience working alongside senior engineers on complex, high-integrity systems.
- Location: Derby
- On Site: 2 times per week
- Clearance: BPSS
- Experience Level: 1- 5 YOE
Key Responsibilities
- Produce and modify 3D models and engineering drawings using Siemens NX
- Manage design data, revisions, and configuration control within Teamcenter
- Support mechanical design development under guidance from senior engineers
- Assist with preparation of technical documentation and design deliverables
- Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams to ensure design integration
- Follow quality and configuration management processes in a regulated environment
- Qualifications
Required Skills
- Practical experience using Siemens NX
- Working knowledge of Teamcenter PLM
- Understanding of mechanical engineering fundamentals
- Strong attention to detail and configuration discipline
- Ability to work within structured engineering processes
Required Qualifications
- A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, or equivalent military experience.
Desirable Skills
- Experience in nuclear, power generation, or other safety-critical industries
- Knowledge of ONR safety principles, INPO guidance, or similar regulatory frameworks
