Mechanical Design Engineer Position Overview Interpreting design briefs and providing creative solutions to design problems.Creating 3D models using PTC Creo.FEA analysis of parts and assemblies using PTC Creo-Simulate.Creating detail drawings for manufacture for a range of parts using many different production processes.Taking products through the design process from conception all the way to production.Liaising with suppliers to source partsInteraction with in-house manufacturing during production to improve efficiency through better design.Creating and updating bills of materials.Testing of products and new ideas.Programming CNC laser and router machines.
