Job Opportunity: Meat Trader - (Beef, Lamb, Poultry) - HalalLocation: Reading, Berkshire (Hybrid on-site, full-time)Salary: £50-60K + Benefits + BonusHours: 9:00 AM – 6:00 PMStart Date: ASAPAbout the RoleWe are recruiting on behalf of a well-established organisation within the halal food industry, who are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Purchasing Manager (Beef, Lamb, Poultry) to join their head office team.This is a dual role, combining procurement management and B2B sales development, making it an exciting opportunity for someone with proven expertise in halal meat supply chains and a strong commercial drive.Key ResponsibilitiesProcurement & Sourcing:Manage the full procurement cycle for beef, lamb, and poultry.Identify, negotiate, and build strong long-term supplier relationships.Ensure quality, traceability, and compliance with food safety standards.Forecast seasonal demands using historical sales data.B2B Sales & Client Management:Manage and grow existing wholesale client relationships.Generate new business opportunities and tailor product solutions.Achieve and exceed sales targets and KPIs.Quality & Compliance:Conduct regular supplier audits to maintain strict quality standards.Monitor and address product quality issues promptly.Inventory & Logistics:Work closely with logistics and warehouse teams to ensure smooth operations.Assist with demand forecasting to optimise stock levels and minimise waste.Candidate ProfileMinimum 5 years’ experience</
