The Opportunity
We are seeking a dynamic and highly skilled Maths Teacher to join our team. This role is not just about teaching formulas; it's about inspiring the next generation of mathematicians. You will be responsible for planning and delivering engaging and challenging lessons across all Key Stages, from KS3 to A-Level. The ideal candidate will be adept at differentiating instruction to meet the diverse needs of all learners, from those who find Maths challenging to the most gifted and talented. You'll be a key player in a supportive and passionate team, sharing best practices and contributing to the department's ongoing success.
Your Responsibilities
- Design and deliver stimulating and effective maths lessons for students across a range of abilities and year groups.
- Create a positive and encouraging classroom environment where students feel confident to tackle complex problems.
- Assess and monitor student progress, providing timely feedback to help them improve.
- Contribute to the development of departmental resources and curriculum plans.
- Participate in extracurricular activities, such as maths clubs or competitions, to further engage students.
- Collaborate effectively with colleagues to ensure a cohesive and high-quality learning experience for all students.
- Communicate regularly with parents and guardians about student performance and well-being.
What We're Looking For
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a degree in Mathematics or a related field.
- Proven experience teaching Maths at the secondary level, with a track record of achieving excellent results.
- Strong subject knowledge and a genuine passion for mathematics.
- Excellent communication and classroom management skills.
- The ability to inspire and motivate students of all abilities.
- A collaborative and innovative mindset.
