Masker/Blaster £19.70 per hour PAYE (Shift Uplift – Double days AM/PM: 14.5%. 4 on 4 off: 36.5%) 6 Months 37 per week Wolverhampton Inside IR35 This is a hands-on role within the Masking Team in Special Processing, responsible for preparing aerospace components for paint and plating operations through masking and blasting techniques. You will be working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment with full training provided (4–6 weeks). Key Responsibilities: Prepare components for paint and plating processes, primarily through masking using tapes and masking materials.Occasional blasting duties using various blasting media.Read and interpret engineering drawings and process specificationsCarry out basic surface treatments (e.g., granodising, etching) after training.Operate in line with quality standards, including Nadcap and Goodrich Quality Systems.Complete plating technique sheets fully and accurately.Safely handle hazardous substances and comply with all chemical HS&E procedures.Conduct daily monitoring of plating baths and produce test pieces as required.Perform inspections using micrometers, verniers, plug gauges, etc., ensuring parts meet specification.Support quality investigations and participate in continuous improvement initiatives.Book parts in and out of the system using the FIFO (First In, First Out) process.Carry out de-masking and stripping tasks as needed.
