About the Role

  • We are seeking a Marketing Operations Manager to drive demand generation, optimise campaigns, and enhance lead conversion. In this role, you will use your marketing operations and automation expertise to drive fresh perspectives and innovative strategies to shape our demand generation efforts. Your expertise will be crucial in building and fostering collaboration and driving continuous improvement in our marketing initiatives, which are focused on clients from world-leading organisations across asset intensive industrial sectors (Energy, Utilities, Transportation). You will also shape sales and marketing alignment via AI driven technology, demonstrating the power this collaboration can bring. Duties and Responsibilities: Marketing Technology & Automation Management: Oversee the marketing technology stack, including automation platforms, CRM systems, analytics tools, and other marketing software, leveraging AI to drive efficiency. Implement best practice for automated marketing campaigns, including email marketing, lead nurturing, and customer segmentation. Create and optimise marketing processes, workflows, triggers, and rules within the marketing automation platform to drive quality lead flow. Ensure seamless integration between marketing systems and other business tools. Evaluate and recommend new marketing technologies to improve efficiency and effectiveness. Develop and manage the marketing technology roadmap to align with business objectives.
  • Collaborate with sales, finance and IT to align marketing operations with broader business objectives. Lead and Contact Management: Manage lead scoring, routing, and assignment processes to ensure timely follow-up by the sales team. Collaborate with the sales team to optimise lead handoff and improve lead conversion rates. Data Management and Analytics: Ensure data accuracy and integrity across all marketing systems, identifying technology that can assist with enrichment and cleansing. Develop and maintain dashboards and reports to track key marketing metrics and KPIs, and provide data-backed insights. Monitor and report on lead flow and pipeline conversion metrics. Present clear understanding of performance by channel and source. Analyse marketing data to provide insights and recommendations for campaign optimisation and strategy. Process and project management: Identify and implement process improvements to streamline marketing operations and increase efficiency. Develop and document standard operating procedures (SOPs) for marketing processes. Work with the wider business to improve process. Lead cross-functional projects to enhance marketing operations and ensure timely delivery of initiatives. Train and support the marketing team on best practices for using marketing technology and automation tools. Compliance and Governance: Ensure compliance with data privacy regulations (e.g., GDPR) and industry best practices. Conduct regular audits of marketing systems and data to ensure compliance and accuracy. Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including Revenue Operations, Sales, IT, and product, to align marketing operations with business goals. Provide regular updates and insights on the performance of marketing operations and automation initiatives.
  • Skills, Knowledge & Expertise Mandatory: Expertise in marketing automation platforms (Marketo & HubSpot) and strong understanding of CRM systems (Salesforce), with 5yrs+ marketing operations and/or automation experience.
  • Strong Excel skills and ability to work with large data sets. Day to day use of Co-Pilot Studio, ChatGPT Pro or equivalent to constantly refine insights.
  • Proficiency in data analysis tools and software (e.g., Power BI, Google Analytics, Looker studio, Brightedge).
  • Familiarity with Enterprise focused marketing demand gen stack: Copy.AI, Demandbase, Outreach, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, etc Demonstrable desire to utilise, understand and investigate AI as a key driver to improve marketing impact and efficiency High level of proficiency in managing data and scalable methods to continuously enhance the contact database. Ability to analyse marketing data to derive actionable insights. Strong problem-solving skills to optimise marketing processes and campaigns. Experience in A/B testing and campaign performance analysis. Strong understanding of customer segmentation and targeting. Excellent organisational skills to manage multiple projects simultaneously with the ability to set priorities, meet deadlines, and work under pressure. Ability to develop and implement marketing automation strategies that align with business goals. Experience in creating and managing nurture journeys. Excellent written and verbal communication skills with an ability to convey complex technical information to non-technical stakeholders. Experienced in building sales and marketing alignment Willingness to stay updated with the latest marketing technologies and trends, as well as propose and implement innovative solutions to improve marketing efficiency. Experience in developing training programmes for marketing automation tools and processes.
