Our Opportunity

This is an exciting opportunity to join North Yorkshire Council’s destination management and marketing organisation, Visit North Yorkshire. Created in 2023 following the merging of seven district and borough councils, this is the perfect time to join the Tourism service and support our objective to showcase North Yorkshire as a must-visit destination and increase the value of the county’s visitor economy.

The role of Marketing Assistant (West) will be a part of the Destination Marketing team working on thematic, seasonal and place-based campaigns to attract visitors to the destination. This role will support the Destination Campaign Manager (West) in the delivery of all marketing activity with a focus on the west side of the county, which includes but is not limited to Harrogate, Skipton, Ripon, the Yorkshire Dales, Nidderdale National Landscape, Richmond and Selby.

Your skills

The postholder will need to be creative with strong attention to detail, be passionate about creating engaging content, keeping on top of the latest trends in destination marketing and be a pro-active member of a fast-paced team that achieve great results.
