Then this is the role for you.

Vanillo Cookies is a growing artisan cookies business based in Thatcham, and we’re on the lookout for friendly, reliable Market Stall Holders to help us bring our cookies to life at indoor and outdoor markets.

Every market is different, and you’ll be the smiling face customers remember.

Work is available Tuesday to Sunday, with flexible shifts to fit around your other commitments.

• Where we’re based

Our main bakery is in Thatcham, Berkshire, RG19

From here, you’ll travel to a mix of indoor and outdoor markets (yes, sometimes in the sunshine, sometimes under a gazebo!).

• The Role

Market Stall Holder

Reporting to: Manager

You’ll be:

Setting up our market stall

Talking to customers (lots of them!)

Selling and promoting our cookies

Making sure stock and cash are handled correctly

In short, you’ll be the face of Vanillo Cookies at markets, and a big part of what makes our brand feel warm, fun and welcoming.

• What you’ll be doing

Before the Market

Load cookies and equipment at our Thatcham bakery

Make sure everything needed for the day is ready to go

Transport goods safely to the market

At the Market

Set up the stall and get it looking great

Chat to customers and help them choose their cookies

Take payments and keep track of stock

Keep the stall clean, tidy and inviting

After the Market

Pack down the stall safely

Count stock and cash

Return goods back to base

• What we’re looking for

You’re 21 or over (insurance requirement)

You have a full, clean UK driving licence

You’re friendly, confident and enjoy talking to people

You’re reliable and happy to work independently

You’re comfortable handling cash and stock

You’re physically able to set up and pack down a stall

You take pride in good hygiene and presentation

You’ll need to already have the right to work in the UK.

Experience is great, but a positive attitude matters more.

Zero hour contract meaning flexibility for you and us

Weekend availability needed

Hours Flexibility required for busy market days

• Pay

£12.21 per hour (current National Minimum Wage)

This will increase in April in line with government changes
